A celebration of the huge impact made by the Scots-American philanthropist Andrew Carnegie ran from Saturday 5 October to Saturday 25 January in the Scottish Parliament.

The Edinburgh International Culture Summit took place at the Scottish Parliament on Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 August. The summit debated the power of culture in forging and fostering international relationships and dialogue between nations.
The Festival of Politics is where people and politics come together, in the unique venue of the Scottish Parliament building at Holyrood. This year's Festival takes place between Friday 23 and Sunday 25 August 2013.

A travelling exhibition showcasing the Large Hadron Collider, the world’s largest science experiment, was on display in the Scottish Parliament, from Saturday 2nd until Friday 8th February 2013
Sound artists Zoë Irvine and Pippa Murphy will be based in the Scottish Parliament from July 2013 to April 2014, creating a new piece of sound art inspired by sounds and voices in the Parliament building.

The Scottish Parliament's travelling exhibition Moving Stories toured the length and breadth of Scotland, from the Scottish Borders to Stornoway from April 2009 up until April 2013, taking in 27 different venues along the way.
The Scottish Parliament displayed stamps featuring British athletes who won a gold medal at the London 2012 Olympics.
