The Covid-19 Committee has established a Citizens’ Panel to discuss and respond to the following question:
‘What priorities should shape the Scottish Government's approach to COVID-19 restrictions and strategy in 2021?’
The Citizens' Panel has 20 members. The members will take part from all eight Parliamentary regions and were chosen to broadly reflect the demographics of Scotland. The Citizens' Panel will meet in virtual sittings on the following dates:
16 January 2021 - 23 January 2021 - 30 January 2021 - 6 February 2021
The Citizens' Panel's findings will assist the Covid-19 Committee in scrutinising the Scottish Government’s strategic approach to the pandemic, including what priorities should inform any future restrictions in 2021. The Committee will also reflect on the panel’s findings to inform its recommendations for how Covid scrutiny should continue after the election.
