About the Inquiry

The Committee is carrying out a three-part energy inquiry, linking an overview of RSE’s Scotland’s Future Energy Report with consideration of electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure, and locally owned energy.

Evidence

The Committee has launched a call for written views, the closing date was 10 January 2020.

On 17 December 2019 held a scene setting session with the Royal Society of Edinburgh’s energy inquiry committee.

On 28 January held a session centring on Electric Vehicles.

On 17 March took evidence from Clackmannanshire Council.

The Committee were due to take evidence from the National Grid and Ofgem at its meeting on 17 March. This meeting was cancelled, and the Committee received written evidence in its place.

Visits and Events

On Tuesday 7 January 2020, the Committee visited Mitsubishi Electric, Livingston and Alexander Dennis, Falkirk

The Committee held an Electric Vehicle Focus Group in Stirling on Monday 13 January 2020.

Correspondence

On 20 February, the Committee wrote to Scottish Renewables, Local Energy Scotland and the Association for Decentralised Energy.
