About the Bill
The Culture, Tourism, Europe and External Affairs Committee was designated as the lead Committee scrutinising the Census (Amendment) (Scotland) Bill.
The Committee took evidence on the Bill at the following meetings: Thursday, 6 December 2018; Thursday, 13 December 2018; and Thursday, 20 December 2018. For more information, see the meeting papers or contact the clerking team.
The Committee considered Stage 2 of the Bill on 2 May 2019.
Following the meeting, the Committee received a letter from the Chief Executive of the National Registers of Scotland addressing a number of points raised at the 2 May meeting.

The Committee took evidence from the Cabinet Secretary for Culture, Tourism and External Affairs on Thursday 20 December, which will be the Committee's final evidence session on the Bill at Stage 1. The meeting papers for that session have been issued and are available on the Committee's homepage. The Committee will not be accepting any further written evidence on the Bill.
