Scottish Parliament celebrates Commonwealth Day

Annie Lennox OBE will speak at the Scottish Parliament as part of Commonwealth Day events (Wednesday 14 March).

Ms Lennox will be speaking in her capacity as Special Envoy of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, Scotland branch.

Subject to Parliamentary approval, earlier in the day a Members’ Debate will also take place.

The theme for Commonwealth Day 2012 is ‘Connecting Cultures’.

There are a limited number of tickets available to the public for this event.  If you would like to apply for tickets, please write to:

You may apply for up to two tickets.  You must supply the following information for each person who wishes to attend:

  • Title (Mr, Mrs, Ms, Miss, Dr, etc.)
  • First name and any middle names
  • Surname
  • Postal Address
  • Email address
  • Telephone number

Ticket applications must reach us no later than Wednesday 29 February.  Tickets will be allocated by a random draw. 

Successful applicants will be notified by Friday 2 March at the latest and will be given detailed instructions on the arrangements for the event.
