Committee hears from chair of Council of Economic Advisers

Chair of the Council of Economic Advisers, Crawford Beveridge gives evidence to the Economy, Energy and Tourism CommitteeThe Economy, Energy and Tourism Committee today heard from the chair of the Council of Economic Advisers, Crawford Beveridge (pictured), and Professor Andrew Hughes Hallett, who gave an update on the council's recent work and its view on the Scottish economy.

The committee also took evidence on the Land Registration etc. (Scotland) Bill from:

  • Lesley Thomson QC, Solicitor General for Scotland
  • Ernie Shippin, Deputy Head of Serious and Organised Crime Division, and Danny Kelly, Principal Depute, Policy Division, from the Crown Office.
