Scottish Parliament celebrates Christmas with annual carol service

18.12.2018

Scottish Parliament Garden Lobby, Wednesday 19 December, 6.15 pm

The sound of Christmas carols will fill Holyrood's Garden Lobby this Wednesday (19 December) as the annual Scottish Parliament Carol Concert takes place.

A traditional part of the parliamentary calendar, the concert will see MSPs and staff joined by school pupils and members of the local community to celebrate Christmas and help bring the Parliament's year to a close.

Hosted by the Parliament's Deputy Presiding Officers, Christine Grahame MSP and Linda Fabiani MSP, the concert will feature readings from MSPs as well as performances from the Royal Mile Primary School, the Newtongrange Silver Band and the Scottish chamber choir, Coroedina.

Journalists, broadcasters and photographers are invited to attend, in order to capture images of the event.

The concert begins at 6.15pm in the Parliament's Garden Lobby. Those requiring media accreditation should contact Hannah Gunn on 0131 348 6852.

The Scottish Parliament's photographer Andrew Cowan will also supply photographs on request. Please contact him on 0131 348 5878.
