The Scottish Parliament is usually open to visitors Monday to Saturday. The exceptions are the Christmas period and February recess when the building will be closed to the public.
During the Festival of Politics, 10th to 13th October, access to the Debating Chamber will be restricted.
Christmas period: The Scottish Parliament will be closed to visitors from Saturday 22nd December until Wednesday 2nd January. It will reopen on Thursday 3rd January.

The building is open earlier and later when Parliament is sitting.
When Parliament is in recess (excluding February recess and the Christmas period when the building will be closed to the public) the building will be open 10.00 to 5.00 (last entry 4.30) on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Recess dates are below.
