PE01758: End greyhound racing In Scotland

Greyhounds are not afforded the same right as domestic pets even though they are dogs. Cases of drugging dogs with illegal substances such as cocaine and met-amphetamine have not been punished or addressed by the SSPCA. The GBGB have only addressed 1 case out of 10. Dogs are allowed to race in extreme heat when the guidelines for other dogs are not even to walk them when temperatures are high. Kennelled for 23 hrs in sparse conditions made to run during fireworks night and in ice and severe cold. Dogs killed for a broken toe due to not being financially viable and now exported to places like China where they are bred from until no longer of use and sent to slaughter for the dog meat trade in horrific conditions often boiled or skinned alive . Ban it now.

Using animals as a form of entertainment is outdated and redundant. Greyhounds deserve to be treated as any other breed of companion dog, not used and abused by a few who think this sport is still relevant in 2019.
