Written Submissions:

How confident are you that the Drinking Water Quality Regulator carries out its role effectively, not just testing for safety but ensuring that the water is pleasant to drink?

Do you agree that the safety of the chloramination process should be independently researched before being introduced in Scotland?

I am so concerned and upset with the water quality here. We moved to this beautiful part of Scotland just over a year ago and for the most part, suffer from terrible skin problems. I am just so dismayed with this situation, skin problems have a huge negative impact on quality of life. The consequences will indeed be costing the Health Service a great deal.

Our water tastes chemical and my girls, who are teenagers and have never had skin complaints, have both developed eczema over the last two years.

Water taste in the Cairngorm national park, one of the jewels in Scotlands tourist industry, is awful, especially in the badenoch area.

Why are there no MSPs or councillors on the board of Scottish Water. There is no democratic link between consumers and the company. Also there is no one on the board with experience of a large number of consumers.

I was skeptical about this but now find my children and some friends have also developed skin rashes. How can this be acceptable in the UK?
