The Presiding Officer, the Rt Hon Tricia Marwick MSP, will today welcome the Ambassador of Croatia, His Excellency Dr. Ivan Grdešić, on his first official visit to the Scottish Parliament. After meeting with the Presiding Officer, the Ambassador will give evidence to the European and External Relations Committee including discussing Croatia’s recent membership of the European Union. This will take place after 10.30am and can be watched live on Parliament TV.

HE Dr Ivan Grdešić took up post late last year and represents the Croatian Government in the UK. Croatia’s population of 4.27 million people is represented in the Parliament by 151 Members.
