Calling on the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Government to introduce a Sunshine Act for Scotland, creating a searchable record of all payments (including payments in kind) to NHS Scotland healthcare workers from Industry and Commerce.

12 November 2013: The Committee took evidence from Peter Gordon. The Committee agreed to write to the Scottish Government, the British Medical Association Scotland, the Ethical Standards in Health and Life Sciences Group, the Royal College of Nursing Scotland, the General Medical Council Scotland, a selection of NHS boards, NHS Scotland, UNISON Scotland, the General Pharmaceutical Council Scotland, the Scottish Pharmacy Board, Community Pharmacy Scotland and the Department of Health. The Committee also agreed to seek further information on examples of legislation similar to that proposed in the petition introduced or being considered in other countries.
