16 December 2020: The Committee agreed to close the petition under Rule 15.7 of Standing Orders on the basis that the Scottish Government has no plans to extend the requirement for planning permission to trampolines or to introduce a system of licensing for them; and local authorities already have a duty to investigate complaints about noise, conducted by trained environmental health officers, under the provisions of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
