25 January 2011: The Committee agreed to write to the Scottish Government, Scottish Fishermen’s Federation, Scottish Natural Heritage, Marine Stewardship Council, WWF Scotland, Professor Jim Atkinson, University Marine Biological Station Millport, and Dr Andrea Nightingale, School of GeoSciences, Edinburgh University, seeking responses to points raised in the petition and during the discussion.

22 February 2011: The Committee agreed to write to the Scottish Government seeking a response to specific points and to invite, in its legacy paper, the Session 4 Public Petitions Committee to give further consideration to the petition.

20 September 2011: The Committee agreed to refer the petition to the Rural Affairs, Climate Change and Environment Committee, under Rule 15.6.2 for further consideration of the issues raised in the petition as part of that Committee’s subject remit. Link to Official Report of 20 September 2011

5 October 2011: The Rural Affairs, Climate Change and Environment Committee agreed to write to the Fisheries Management and Conservation Group and the Inshore Fisheries Groups on issues raised during consideration of this petition by the Public Petitions Committee (PPC) and the previous PPC, and to consider the responses at a future meeting. Link to Official Report 5 October 2011

9 May 2012: The Rural Affairs, Climate Change and Environment Committee considered a petition by Richard Munday on behalf of the Torridon Nephrops Management Group calling on the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Government to review and pilot the establishment of further spatially separated static gear only inshore fisheries to improve fisheries management. 19 September 2012: The Rural Affairs, Climate Change and Environment Committee considered a Petition by Richard Munday on behalf of the Torridon Nephrops Management Group and agreed to keep the petition open and to write to Marine Scotland seeking their response to the issues raised during the roundtable.
