28 May 2013: The Committee took evidence from Paul Wheelhouse, Minister for Environment and Climate Change and Derek Mackay, Minister for Local Government and Planning, Scottish Government. The Committee agreed to close the petition, under Rule 15.7, on the grounds that the Scottish Government is not persuaded that there is a case for a new statutory designation for wild land.
