Calling on the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Government to review all guidelines relating to trespass and encampments for Gypsies and Travellers to ensure their intent is clear and that they are being applied.

26 October 2010: The Committee agreed to write to the Scottish Government, a selection of local authorities (Aberdeenshire, Perth & Kinross), a selection of police forces (Grampian, Tayside), Convention of Scottish Local Authorities, Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland, Equality and Human Rights Commission, Article 12 in Scotland and the Scottish Gypsy Traveller Law Reform Coalition seeking responses to points raised in the petition and during the discussion. Link to Official Report 26 October 2010

1 November 2010: The Committee agreed to write to the organisations who had previously submitted responses to the Committee seeking a further response to specific points.
