Calling on the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Government to make a formal loan request to the National Archive at Kew to return the Wallace Safe Conduct to Scotland under a permanent loan agreement.

7 September 2010: The Committee agreed to suspend the petition until the group of experts assembled to establish where and why the letter was produced has made its recommendations and to write to the Scottish Government, asking whether, in light of these recommendations, it will make a loan request to the National Archives to return the Wallace Safe Conduct to Scotland under a permanent loan agreement.
