Do you think towns with a certain number of residents should automatically qualify to have a hospital in the town?

Do you think smaller towns should have their own out of hours services?

Do you think NHS Scotland should reconsider the services it provides with regard to hospitals and out of hours services?

Thinking particularly about Cumbernauld, do you think it should have its own hospital?

As a regular user of hospital and out of hours. The cumbernaul d area is badly served it is also the largest town in the area and it is abysmal at times trying to be seen. Shyness it been decided that gartcosh is not a suitable site is purely down to politics. Attending out of hours in the back of beyond and being greatest Hairmyers is a disaster waiting to happen if love to know the numbers of deaths of folk who don't make it there. Time cumbernauld. And Kilsyth were given a way in their health after all they pay the largest amount of council tax in th e area.

Now we see the true importance of Healthcare & Hospitals. Never again should the NHS suffer funding cuts if fact the NHS should be given even more money, more staff and more facilities in future. This is my reason for backing this petition.

I think the experience of coronavirus shows us that we cannot invest too much in our health service and that further provision of hospital beds in a distributed fashion is not over-provision or wasteful or inefficient, but actually a sensible precaution against the next pandemic (which globalisation and expanding human populations make almost inevitable).

Yes I think that the town is big enough in population to have a small hospital and the out of hours service needs reinstated I have attended a meeting with the chief of the health board and we were all agreeing that the Monklands hospital needs to be rebuilt in gartcosh as it is easier for commuting and has plenty space for the new purpose built hospital. Since this meeting it has changed dramatically the health board now wants to choice another new sight. The suggestion that it should b a small hospital to be built in Cumbernauld was not taken seriously.

Due to the size and population of Cumbernauld we definitely should have access to local hospital or at least an A&E department

Cumbernauld is in desperate need of a hospital. With the population of the town ever growing, and the demand for easy access to health care provisions for all services users growing with it. It is vital for our community that we have this access without the added stress and worry of transport issues, and the nearest hospital being an hour away that will see the residents of Cumbernauld.
