    Focus on Standardised Assessments

    The Education and Skills Committee have launched an inquiry into standardised assessments and what role they should play in Scotland's schools.

    The inquiry will look at international approaches and what could be applied in Scotland, whether assessments can improve outcomes for young people, and the reason behind the Scottish Governments adoption of standardised assessments.

    Cttee to take evidence on NHS performance

    The Public Audit and Post-legislative Scrutiny committee will hear from the Auditor General for Scotland, Caroline Gardner, on the performance of the NHS today at 9:00am.

    The session will focus on a report from Audit Scotland that outlines key issues with the NHS in Scotland and recommendations on what could be done to rectify these.
